August 1st issue

Here is the note that Roger Allard gave me on the death of Jean Pellerin. Will you send it to Paillart, and tell me if we put it at the top of the notes. (The one on Gasquet coming immediately after?)

It was far too late to change the order: Duhamel has been composing for six days (directly on pages). So I follow order 2: Gide, Duhamel, Chevrier, Aragon, Peniakoff.

(I had misunderstood a word from you "Duhamel in place of Hamp..."; I thought that you must also adhere to a certain hierarchical order.. It is obvious that order 1 was preferable.)

Note from August 1, with the responses of Jacques Rivière.
