
Gaston Gallimard
Gaston Gallimard, born on January 18, 1881, in Paris and died on December 25, 1975, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, was a French publisher, founder of Editions Gallimard, which held a major place in twentieth-century French literary life. He also led extra-literary ventures: theater administrator, press owner, film producer, and concert organizer.
