Georges BraqueIn 2013, the Grand Palais presents the first retrospective dedicated to Georges Braque (1882-1963) for almost forty years. Initiator of Cubism and inventor of collaged paper, he was one of the avant-garde figures of the early 20th century, before refocusing his work on the methodical exploration of still life and landscape. The exhibition offers a new look at the work of the artist and putting his work into perspective with the painting, literature or music of his time.
