René Martin-Guelliot to Jean Paulhan, 1913, 2
2.2.1913
My dear friend,
No. 42 has just been published. I sent you 2[0]. I think the new sections (however you view them this time) will suit you and that you will be able to participate easily.
Despite all my attention and that of Pareau we still left a few errors. There is one, quite annoying, which I especially ask you to excuse. It's simply missing... your signature! By cutting "Falsifications" for layout reasons, I didn't think I was cutting "J.-P." !! And none of us noticed [the] trials. Fortunately, J.-P. is very explicit on the front page in the summary of ideas. But sorry all the same.
As for the "Falsifications" I would not have cut them if the layout had been easy: I would have found something to remove, to gain this 1/2 page, either from the articles mentioned, or from the varieties. But there were some material difficulties.
The line on the back of the cover is still missing, this is the fault of the printer to whom I marked the correction twice. It is indeed the title of the volume.
The translation business is well underway. My wife saw Dumas last night. A little cold at first, he was extremely kind when she reminded him (which he had completely forgotten) of her ties to the Spectator and when she told him about you. He promised to do everything at the R[evue] de P[aris?][psychologie?] and then at Calmann Lévy: he has no doubt about success. We are both very grateful for your support.
We are leaving for Reims, for 2 days only; therefore always write to Paris.
Yours sincerely R.M.G.
The N.R.F. just arrived. I will communicate it to Pareau (who spends Shrovetide in Chamonix) and send it to you.
