Portrait de Paul Klee

Paul Klee

I met Paul Klee in Weimar in 1927. He mainly talked to me about music about which I didn't hear much. Nor, I hope, does he make all music useless. He lives closer to men and unborn animals than to the living: this makes a silent kingdom, where we get along very well.
