_Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, better known under the signature of: J.M.G. Le Clézio, born April 13, 1940 in Nice, is a French-language writer, as he defines himself. Of French and British nationality, he is strongly influenced by the Mauritian and Breton culture of his family.
