HyperPaulhan

The Hyper Paulhan site is now public and accessible to everyone on the EMAN platform!
Conducted since 2013, first within Labex OBVIL (Observatoire de la vie litteraire) and then on the EMAN platform, managed by the Thalim laboratory (cnrs - sorbonne nouvelle - ens), in partnership with IMEC (Institut Memoire de l’edition contemporaine), the SLJP (Societe des lecteurs de Jean Paulhan), the HyperPaulhan project makes available online a set of letters received and written by Jean Paulhan, both as scanned documents and as transcriptions. Two periods are covered: 1925-1936 and 1950-1958, corresponding to periods of intense activity by Jean Paulhan at La NRF.
The site can be consulted at: https://eman-archives.org/Paulhan
It currently presents more than 80 correspondences with 3,036 letters, nearly 75% of which have been transcribed. Letters are presented by correspondent and include images of letter folios as well as transcriptions when available. Transcription has been carried out under a strict protocol described on the site. A search engine allows refined searches in letter descriptions (metadata) and in transcriptions.
The site is constantly evolving and will gradually publish new correspondences as well as new transcriptions. The adopted principle is that correspondences already published in print will not be reproduced on the site but are indicated on a specific site page. We are thus revealing a genuinely unpublished active and passive correspondence of Jean Paulhan, whose extent is a true gold mine for literary research....
