Germaine Richier at the summit

A museum-quality exhibition has just opened in Ixelles, a year before the retrospective planned at the Georges Pompidou Center in March 2023, curated by Valerie Da Costa, who had already curated the one at the Picasso Museum in Antibes in 2019. Specialized in 20th-century art, Jacques de la Beraudiere has been an unconditional admirer of Germaine Richier's work (1902-1959) since his youth, even before becoming an art dealer. A collector himself, he owns very fine pieces by this artist, whose fame has not yet reached the level it deserves - that of a Giacometti, for example.
